To inaugurate this blog is a poem from the eminent (m&m) miss Bridget Talone:
I rarely write poems for people when they ask, but tonight when I was
walking home I thought: I want to do this for Isaac, who is not afraid
of the dark. And then I made a little song about it in my head
starting with: for isaac
...who waters all the maybe-flowers
...who buys his cookies two for one
...whose brother is the highschool mascot
...who prefers his burger sans the bun
If I were writing a modern, unrhymed sonnet for you, this would be the
shining, final couplet:
Yes his burger is bathed in ketchup.
But oh, how his beard stays pristine.
